In 1946, Elmer McHenry decided to take the skills he learned in a rural blacksmith shop to St. Louis where there was a demand for welders and metal workers. In just a few short years he had his own business designing, fabricating, servicing and installing specialized truck equipment, as well as welding and fabricating metal to meet the needs of area businesses.
Since the inception of McHenry Truck Equipment, Inc. we have provided installation and service for more than 100,000 vehicles. In addition, we have established an unmatched reputation for our capabilities, quality workmanship, and most importantly, our dependability. Our service staff is the best trained and most highly-skilled in the industry. We have experienced mechanics with proven records of performance in general repair, installation, sheet metal fabrication, welding, hydraulics and electrical. In addition, our mechanics are ASE certified and are certified welders. We also have a fully equipped body shop and paint booth to keep your fleet looking its best. If your truck equipment fails in the field and you are unable to make it to our facility, you can call our Emergency Mobile Service Unit which is capable of handling just about any equipment problem.
